SMPS VIRGINIA CHAPTER ANNOUNCES 2017 MEMBER AWARDS AND MILESTONES

RICHMOND, VA – March 1, 2018 – The Virginia chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) announced their 2017 member awards and milestones at their Annual Conference in Richmond on February 22-23, 2018.

Several members were recognized for their membership milestones, including: Peter Kienle of Kienle Communications, LLC (25 years); Karen Tasch of WSP USA (20 years); Cheryl Browne of W.M. Jordan Company (15 years); Tabitha Abnet of Clark Nexsen, PC (5 years); Courtney Neston of RRMM Architects (5 years); Diane Rossini of DPR Construction (5 years); Greg Stephenson of Timmons Group (5 years); and Jennifer Whitehead of Rice Associates (5 years).

Members Betsy Loeb (Stewart) and Allison Throckmorton (Commonwealth Architects) were awarded the “2017 Rising Star of the Year” award, Caitlin Friebertshauser (Barton Malow Company) received the “2017 Volunteer of the Year” award, and Courtney Neston (RRMM Architects) received the “2017 Marketer of the Year” award.

The SMPS Virginia vision is to educate, elevate and inspire members of the Architectural / Engineering / Construction (AEC) industry, while remaining a premier resource for education, information, and resources in marketing professional services for the built and natural environment. There are currently over 100 members with firms from Roanoke to Charlottesville to Virginia Beach. SMPS Virginia holds educational programs, events, socials and webinars to support the diversity of the region’s A/E/C industry.
