RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 21 2021 – White Lodging, one of the nation’s leading hotel management companies, today announces the naming of Lars Friedriszik as general manager of the Richmond Marriott Downtown.
Friedriszik, who boasts more than 20 years of hotel and hospitality experience, has held leadership positions at several White Lodging properties since joining the firm in 2015. He served as the assistant general manager at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck, N.J., before arriving at the Richmond Marriott Downtown as assistant general manager in 2018. Since 2019, Friedriszik served as the general manager of the Courtyard & Residence Inn Richmond Downtown before returning to the Marriott, which recently completed an extensive renovation and unveiled its new Fall Line Kitchen & Bar in September.
“It’s an exciting time to oversee one of Richmond’s destination hotels,” Friedriszik said. “We are very proud of the changes and updates that have been made throughout the hotel. Friedriszik earned his degree in hospitality operations management from George Brown College in Toronto and a certificate in culinary arts from Yukon College in Yukon, Canada. He holds additional certificates in hotel management, restaurant review management and leadership for the hospitality profession from the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland and eCornell, the online education program of Cornell University.
Outside of work, Friedriszik enjoys cooking, traveling and being outdoors, whether it’s running, hiking, camping or being on the James River.
