James Ritter joined Woods Rogers’ Administrative and Regulatory practice. He will work out of the firm’s Richmond office.

James has extensive experience in working with clients to address public utility matters. His practice focuses on the regulation of energy and public utilities, primarily before the Virginia State Corporation Commission. In addition to his work in the energy sector, James has experience representing telecommunications companies in state regulatory matters, including applications for authority to provide telecommunications services, applications for approval of corporate transactions, and compliance and reporting requirements.

In 2017, Super Lawyers named him a Virginia Rising Star in the Utilities category. James is also a member of the Virginia State Bar’s Administrative Law Section and National Regulatory Conference Planning Committee.
