Regional Action Summit
Each year, ChamberRVA brings together business and civic leaders for the Regional Action Summit, a day dedicated to the issues shaping our region's economic future. This year's Summit takes on one of the most pressing challenges employers face: how to cultivate and retain talent in a labor market being reshaped by AI and a shifting workforce landscape.
Keynote and Fireside Conversation
Tom Barkin, President and CEO, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
The Summit opens with an economic outlook from Tom Barkin, covering national and regional labor market trends. A moderated fireside conversation and audience Q&A follow, offering attendees a grounded, firsthand perspective on what employers are navigating today.
Breakout Sessions
Following the keynote, attendees choose from three moderated concurrent sessions, each exploring a different piece of the talent puzzle:
- Upskilling and Reskilling: Meeting Workers Where They Are. Practical approaches to developing the skills of your current workforce.
- Building the Entry-Level Pipeline: Internships That Work. Strategies for creating internship programs that turn into long-term talent.
- Apprenticeships and New Pathways to Employment. New models connecting job seekers to career opportunities outside the traditional four-year degree path
