Virginia Business Systems Executives Named “The Difference Makers” by ENX Magazine

Two executives of Virginia Business Systems (VBS) have been named “The Difference Makers in the Document Imaging Industry” by ENX Magazine. Jim Dotter, President of VBS and Rick Lingon, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of VBS were both identified as Leaders, Innovators and Builders of the Industry. According to the ENX publisher, Susan Neimes, the prestigious list is compiled by extensive research of the industry to identify the “Difference Makers”. “The difference makers have earned this recognition in many different ways”, Neimes said. “Some are innovators, and others are leaders. A savvy business sense helps, too. Many of them support the industry by serving in various organizations and giving back to the communities they serve.”

According to ENX Magazine, Jim Dotter, President of VBS, is a Difference Maker and under the his leadership VBS is well on its way towards its established goal to be the best office technology company in the region. He has overseen significant growth with the successful acquisition and implementation of five dealerships. Mr. Dotter has developed a leasing code of ethics for the document technology industry and served on dealer advisory councils for Xerox, US Bank and Great America Finance. He also currently serves as the President of Select Dealer Group. “I’m very proud of receiving this honor from the industry and ENX,” said Mr. Dotter, “but this achievement is one I must share with our dedicated and focused team, because we all are Difference Makers.” VBS was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia.

VBS team member, Rick Lingon, VP of Sales and Marketing, has also been named to the list. ENX Magazine credits Mr. Lingon with helping grow VBS from a small company selling copiers to a statewide organization leading the way in software, hardware and IT services. He is also considered a dynamic leader who is passionate about the people he works with and their professional development. Mr. Lingon said “It’s important in this industry to find a way to drive a sales team to success, but also to guide them with a can-do, fun attitude.” For over 20 years, he has been among the most viable proponents of development and betterment at Virginia Business Systems.
