Robert B. “Chip” Delano, Jr. selected for “Leaders in the Law”
David G. Boyce selected for “Up & Coming Lawyers”
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (October 30, 2018) — Robert B. “Chip” Delano, Jr., a shareholder at the law firm Sands Anderson PC, has been selected to Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2018 class of “Leaders in the Law“. David G. Boyce, Counsel at the firm, was selected to their 2018 class of “Up & Coming Lawyers.” Both classes were honored on Thursday, October 25th at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.
Delano is a Shareholder at Sands Anderson and concentrates his practice in the areas of tort, insurance, and appellate litigation. He devotes a considerable portion of his practice to life, health, and disability insurance/ERISA litigation.
A former VADA President and member of the DRI-Voice of the Defense Bar’s Board of Directors, Delano frequently publishes and speaks on topics related to his practice. He served as the editor-in-chief of the DRI publication The Law of Life Insurance: Key Issues of Each State, and was a presenter at the VBA’s 2018 Appellate Summit. Earlier this year Delano, an Eagle Scout, received his veteran award recognizing him for over 50 years working with the Boy Scouts of America. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the College of William & Mary.
Boyce is Counsel at Sands Anderson and focuses his practice on both white collar criminal defense/government investigations and civil litigation, including matters such as breach of contract, products and premises liability defense, and business litigation. Boyce has tried and obtained favorable verdicts as lead counsel in hundreds of bench and jury trials in both state and federal courts.
In 2017, Boyce was selected as a Rising Star for Virginia Business magazine’s “Legal Elite”, and has been included in “Legal Elite” for Criminal Law since 2014. He has also been listed in Super Lawyers® for Civil Litigation since 2015. He received his undergraduate degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2005, graduating cum laude. He earned his law degree in 2008 from the University of Richmond School of Law, also graduating cum laude.
