About Centura College:
Centura first began offering career placement services for individuals in 1969 with the establishment of Employment Services, Inc. in Norfolk, VA. Those services continued to expand and eventually in 1983, evolved into Electronic Institute of Technology, a vocational training school, that offered training in basic and digital electronics. Over the years, Electronic Institute of Technology expanded to training options and campus locations. In 1992, Employment Services, Inc. opened its Greater Richmond area campus under the name Beta Tech. In 2008, the school’s name was changed to Centura College.
