ENGAGE • INFORM • INSPIRE
For over seven years, Mission Tomorrow has provided eighth graders an opportunity to participate in a career exploration event. This year’s event will be in person with over 100 exhibitors for students to visit and explore potential career interests.
You may wonder why an eighth grader needs to be thinking about future careers now. The answer is that the course choices that a student makes going into their freshman year of high school can impact the career pathways available to them in the future. Talking about things a student likes doing and is good at is a good way to start the discussion about future careers.
This year’s Mission Tomorrow event will be held on Tuesday, October 10 – Thursday, October 12.
An Evening Session will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:10 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for high school and middle school students and families, to explore career opportunities and learn about work-based learning opportunities such as job shadowing and internships.
