ChamberRVA and the Metropolitan Business League celebrated the graduation of the inaugural AMPLIFY cohort on Tuesday, February 24, marking the successful completion of a six-month mentorship and capacity building program designed to accelerate the growth of small businesses across Central Virginia.
The graduation event honored the dedication, resilience, and growth of participating business owners who have spent the past six months strengthening business fundamentals while building their personal capacity to lead with confidence. Through one-on-one mentorship, executive level coaching, and collaborative cohort sessions, participants gained practical tools and strategic insight to scale sustainably and compete more effectively.
Launched in July 2025, AMPLIFY was created through a unique regional collaboration between ChamberRVA, the Metropolitan Business League, and leading corporate partners committed to fostering a more inclusive and resilient local economy. The program reflects a shared focus on inclusive economic development, supply chain diversification, and long-term business success.
Throughout the program, participants were paired with experienced mentors and worked toward individualized SMART goals between monthly sessions. The curriculum addressed key topics including human resources management, certifications, contracting, cybersecurity, intellectual property, design thinking, marketing, and strategic planning.
Regional supporting partners hosted sessions and shared expertise and insights to help participants strengthen operations and expand opportunity.
Key program benefits included executive level skill building, customized mentorship and expert consultations, access to influential regional networks, and a curriculum focused on real time business challenges and practical solutions.The inaugural cohort was selected through a competitive application process in late June 2025. With the February 24 graduation, AMPLIFY reaches an important milestone in strengthening Central Virginia’s small business ecosystem and building a more connected, opportunity rich regional economy. The next cohort will convene in July 2026.
