DoorDash, ChamberRVA, and City of Richmond Partner To Launch Local Business Workshop

DoorDash, ChamberRVA and the City of Richmond today opened registration for the Local Business Workshop — a free, one-day, in-person training on August 6 designed to help businesses grow.

The Workshop provides local small business owners with hands-on training on DoorDash tools and advertising, education on new AI-powered tools, direct connections to local business support organizations, and networking with peers all in a single day. It builds on DoorDash’s Accelerator for Local Businesses which has supported more than 400 small businesses nationwide since 2021.

The Workshop series is part of DoorDash’s Unlocking Main Street campaign, which aims to make it easier for small businesses to open and grow in the U.S.

“We’re proud to work alongside DoorDash to provide resources, training and thoughtful policy solutions to make sure small businesses in our community can thrive” said Richmond Mayor Danny Avula

“Strong small businesses build strong communities,” said Brian Anderson, President & CEO of ChamberRVA. “This workshop reflects our shared commitment in providing Richmond’s small businesses with practical resources, innovative tools and meaningful connections that help them grow, adapt and succeed. We’re proud to partner with DoorDash and the City of Richmond to invest in the continued success of our local business community.”

“We built this Workshop because growing a small business shouldn’t require figuring everything out alone,” said Brianna January, Head of Mid-Atlantic Government Relations at DoorDash. “Pairing DoorDash’s tools with ChamberRVA’s local expertise and the City’s support gives Richmond’s entrepreneurs a real head start.”

Registration for the Richmond Workshop is open. Eligible businesses must be independently owned, operate a brick-and-mortar storefront, and have three or fewer locations.
