Senator Mark Warner visited the Diamond on Thursday, July 1 to have a discussion about the Minor League Baseball Relief Act, which would provide financial aid to the tune of $550 million to minor league teams across the country (130 teams) based on a percentage of their 2019 revenues. As teams continue to struggle, through last season’s complete shutdown and this seasons limited schedule and early season capacity restrictions, this would be beyond helpful, and in some cases around the Country, the difference between teams surviving or folding.

The Flying Squirrels are grateful for the leadership of Senator Warner and Senator Tim Kaine who co-sponsored the bill which needs your support.
