Mending Walls Civic Discussion

September 16th at 6 p.m. – Participate via Zoom

Art is a springboard for conversation. With that in mind, the Mending Walls public art project brings together public artists from different cultures and backgrounds to create murals reflecting where we are in society and how we can move forward through understanding and collaboration.

Join us for a Virtual Community Gathering where you will have an opportunity to:

  • Hear from the artists about their experiences in creating art that reflects the racial justice and Black Lives Matter movements
  • Learn how they used conversation to tell their stories collaboratively
  • Explore our understanding of racial justice and Black Lives Matter and begin to get comfortable in the uncomfortable
  • Listen to each other’s stories, inspiring empathy and connection

Future events on October 7th and 21st will include perspectives from additional participating artists, as well as opportunities for small group facilitated discussion.
