FUNNVILLE – Individual-game tickets for the Richmond Flying Squirrels’ 2019 season will go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. during the annual Nutzy’s Block Party at The Diamond. The event will feature live music, games, food trucks and more from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Individual-game tickets for the 2019 season will go on sale exclusively in person at The Diamond on Saturday at 10 a.m., and the first 100 people to purchase tickets will receive an exclusive Nutzy’s Block Party T-shirt. Individual-game tickets will be available for purchase online at squirrelsbaseball.com/tickets beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Saturday will be the first opportunity for fans to purchase tickets to Opening Night on April 4, which includes an appearance by former MLB star Ryan Klesko and LIT! Dueling Fireworks featuring DJ Ron Manila presented by Chick-fil-A and Virginia Birth Father Registry. The Flying Squirrels’ full 2019 promotional schedule can be found here.
Fans will also be able to purchase tickets to All-Star Week events such as the Celebrity Home Run Derby & Funnville Fan Fest on July 9 and 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game presented by Genworth on July 10. Field Level seating for both events is sold out. Tickets for the All-Star Country Music featuring Big & Rich at Virginia Credit Union LIVE! at Richmond Raceway will also be available for purchase. “Nutzy’s annual Block Party has become a calendar indication that spring and Squirrels baseball are near,” Flying Squirrels VP & COO Todd “Parney” Parnell said. “With the unveiling of the video board and the 2019 promotional schedule this week, the energy for the first day of individual ticket sales and the general family fun feel of the Block Party is off the charts. We are really looking forward to spending the morning with our fan base and building momentum for the monumental, all-star year that 2019 promises to be.”
Nutzy’s Block Party will feature live music by The Hit List along with Funnville on-field games outside the stadium, food trucks and more.
Saturday also marks the first opportunity for Squirrel Tails Kids Club members to pick up their 2019 membership voucher booklets (available at the blue Funnville tent), which includes vouchers that can be redeemed for a free General Admission ticket to every Sunday home game.
The newly remodeled Squirrels Nest Team Store presented by Retro Brand will be open for fans to stock up on new gear for the 2019 season and the Eastern League All-Star Week presented by Genworth. Fans will also be able to view one of The Diamond’s suites.
Nutzy’s Block Party begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m., in time for the start of VCU baseball’s matchup against Cornell.
For the first time ever, the Flying Squirrels host the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game presented by Genworth on July 10 at The Diamond. Tickets can be purchased at the Flying Squirrels Ticket Office, located on the first-base side of The Diamond, or online at squirrelsbaseball.com/allstar.
