Got a great idea for a new business? Want to win money for your idea and at the same time receive professional mentoring and publicity support to help make the idea a reality?

SCORE Richmond, a chapter of the national non-profit mentoring organization, in partnership with Activation Capital, is conducting its annual competition, SCOREcard 2019 Pitch Competition, which seeks to identify and reward our community’s best start-up business models. Registration is open from January 15 until February 5.

Local entrepreneurs within the Richmond metropolitan area that are start-ups or in business less than one year, as defined by when they received their first dollar of revenue, are invited to pitch their business model ideas to a panel of expert judges, composed of prominent business representatives from the Richmond area. Not only will the competition winners receive cash prizes of up to $5,000 but all entrants will have the opportunity to personally connect with a SCORE mentor, who will help them fine-tune their entry and provide mentoring advice on starting and growing their business.
