RVA NOW hosted a regional Internship Information Session featuring representatives from Richmond’s Fortune 500 employers, with over 90 students registering from ten colleges and universities across the state (and one out-of-state). The event included content on why a student would want to focus a job search in the Richmond Region, as well as presentations from each company on their internship programs.  Post event surveys came back overwhelmingly positive with student testimonials reinforcing the direction of our new RVA NOW brand. Thank you to our panelists for a fantastic event. Look for an announcement on the second internship information session coming up in December.

RVA NOW has also been hosting a series of Instagram Live conversations with subjects ranging from Networking for Introverts to why gaining in-office experience before you begin your career is so important. Each guest is an expert in their field, and the conversations are always interesting and informative, especially if you’re a young job seeker. Finally, the RVA NOW staff is recording slide presentations for use by our higher ed partners in their virtual classrooms. It’s exciting to be able to reach students with a recruitment message when face to face recruiting isn’t possible.
