How many events have you attended that are referred to as a “laidback networking soirée”? If your answer is zero then you haven’t been to SummerFest, the annual casual legislative reception hosted by the Chesterfield Business Council of the Greater Richmond Chamber. Held at the Boathouse at Sunday Park overlooking the beautiful Swift Creek Reservoir, this indoor/outdoor event is not your typical corporate reception. Our gracious host pulls out the stops, and this year’s food menu has a Southern flair. You can expect a sweet & savory biscuit bar, gourmet deviled eggs (think chive, bacon and blue cheese) and an open bar that includes a signature cocktail.
A live jazz band croons as business and government leaders mix at a summer tradition that’s anything but stuffy. Don’t be surprised if you see bright and patterned linen, seersucker and khaki – perhaps even a pair of Bermuda shorts or two. So who has said he or she is ready to mingle? Check out the guest list:
